Baseball Bros Franchise Mode: How to Win the Bro Series
Published · 3 min read
Quick games are fine for a few minutes, but Franchise Mode is where Baseball Bros keeps you playing. You take over a club, play a short season and try to finish as champion. Here is how it works and how to get there.
Becoming an owner
Franchise Mode starts on the Choose your team screen. The cities are laid out in a grid, and you pick one to own. The game then congratulates you as the new owner and sets the brief in one line: win the Bro Series. It also tells you the most important number in the mode — the season lasts 17 days. That is short, so a bad week costs more than it would in a long season.
Your uniform
Before you play, the team screen lets you redesign the kit. There is a tab for each piece of the kit — the shirt, the cleats, the glove, the cap and more — and a row of twelve colours. It changes nothing about how the team plays, but a distinctive kit makes your players easy to pick out on a busy screen, which helps more than you would think when the ball is in play.
Reading the standings
The league is split into divisions, America East, America Central and America West, and the Current Standings screen shows where you are. In a 17-day season you cannot wait for things to even out. Look at who sits right above you in your division and treat games against them as the ones that matter most.
Upgrades
Between games the game asks you to choose an upgrade, and you keep choosing until it says you are maxed out. Your team has ratings such as Team Power and Team Speed. A simple rule works well: fix your weakest area first. If you score but give up too many runs, put the next upgrade into the side of the game that is costing you. If you rarely get on base, make the batting better before anything else.
Close games and extra innings
Tied games go to extra innings, and these are where seasons are won or lost. In extras, pitch carefully — walks and easy hits become runs quickly — and at the plate play for contact rather than the home run. One runner moving station to station is often enough.
Using your best players
After games the game picks out a Best Player and tracks numbers such as batting average, home runs and strikeouts. Use these to learn who your hitters are. When a big at-bat comes, the Super Bat and your club's special swing are worth far more in the hands of a hitter who already makes contact.
A plan for your first season
- Play one quick game to learn the timing of the three pitches and the swing.
- Pick a club, set a kit you can spot easily, and start Franchise Mode.
- Mix your pitches from the first inning; never three of the same in a row.
- Spend each upgrade on your weakest area.
- Check the standings every few days and treat division rivals as must-win games.
Win the Bro Series and the game moves you on to the next season with the same club, so everything you built carries forward.
